CLINT BLACK LIVE!! | DPAC CENTER

On the 11th of April, Durham and the DPAC Center hosted a true country music legend. The crowd was ready, and a lot of cowboy hats were worn! But first, Paige King Johnson took the stage. Paige is a local country music rising star. Coming from Ainger, NC, she had a good-sized crowd there at the DPAC cheering her on. She is fantastic and I was happy to see her open for the country legend she was opening up for. She played some older songs and some new ones that we were privileged to hear first. The fan favorite on stage with Paige though, was Hambone. Yes, Hambone. The crowd cheered this man on throughout the entire show. He played the steel guitar and what a fantastic job he did! It was just Paige and Hambone on stage, and it was an awesome show to open up with. If you can catch her playing live somewhere, I recommend seeing her play! She's definitely going to be big one day (soon).

Now, for the moment everyone was waiting for! A true country music legend taking the stage at DPAC. Clint Black!! As the band took the stage, there was a video playing perfectly timed photos and videos of Clint through the years. It was really cool to watch. Then, the crowd erupts as Clint takes the stage. Everyone is on their feet, and he starts playing. Clint Black had a 21 song setlist and it covered everything! His setlist included all the hits, some covers, and an encore. It was a night to remember and to take in as he played and sang. He still sounds awesome after all these years! There wasn't a person in there at least not tapping their foot, if they were sitting down. My personal favorite he played, and I tried to sing along with was Like the Rain. What a killer song! Then, as he ended the last song, the crowd was all on their feet, clapping and Clint took it in and smiled and waved. It was a great evening of country music, and everyone left with at least a smile! If you can catch the tour, it's a great show to take the family along with and see a true legend of country music!
