We got the chance to cover Lindsey Stirling tonight during her tour stop at the Redhat Amphitheater in Raleigh NC.  Lindsey Stirling, if you are not familiar, is one of the best musicians creating music today.  Her creative process and writing have undoubtedly put her at the top of her craft.   She is a violinist, dancer and songwriter who has changed the way people look at the violin.  She has done this by not only recording beautifully intricate violin master pieces that make your jaw drop but by also bringing a fun and entertaining experience to her live performances.   That being said, let’s talk about the show!

I saw Lindsey Stirling play a few years ago when she was opening for Amy Lee during her tour stop in Raleigh NC at the Walnut Creek.  This was the first time I had ever seen her perform live and she put on such an incredible show that I knew f28 had to cover her headlining tour.   Lindsey Stirling brings several elements to her live stage performances.  She will have costume changes, energized dance routines, humor and fun-loving vibes and in tonight’s case she was hanging upside down dangling from a cable while playing her violin!  So, to say the least she brings everything she can to the table.  Her performance is strong and never skips a beat.  She played her violin with power, grace and she did all of this while dancing and did I mention she was upside down dangling in the air on a cable?  Lindsay is someone who really wants her fans to have a fun and energized experience during her shows.

Her show tonight at the Redhat started off with the lights dimmed low and the sound of her violin radiating through the speakers.  After a few moments the lights kicked on and there she was, standing center stage and the fans started to scream in excitement.  She immediately started moving around the stage never once stopping.  She danced and did pirouettes as she played her violin without missing one note.   Her energy was palpable and fun, she would go up to each corner of the stage and made sure to let her fans see her and feel her energy.  After the first three songs she said hello to the crowd and engaged with them.  Lindsay is a live performer who really is happy to see you and excited to be there with you.  So make sure you go see her live stage performance, you won’t be disappointed and you will be leaving happy and energized.

Side note: We do not have any photographs of her upside down on the wire playing her violin, this stunt was performed after we had already photographed our allotted songs at the start her show.  It was a very cool stunt though!! So, you need to see it!
