DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL LIVE! | RITZ IN RALEIGH

f28 covered Dashboard Confessional during their tour stop in Raleigh at the Ritz Music Venue on March 14th, 2022. The Ritz was packed with music fans waiting to see one of their favorite alternative rock bands of the last 20 years perform on stage. Dashboard Confessional is a rock band that has been performing and writing music since early 2000. The lead singer and musical creator Chris Carrabba is the continued force behind the group. One of their biggest hits was a song called “screaming infidelities” which had consistent radio air play around 2002 and was how I got introduced to the band. With such beloved songs as “Stolen”, “Heartbeat Here”, “Belle of The Boulevard”, “Vindicated” and many others the band has left a legacy of incredible music and still continues to write heart felt songs for a new generation. Now let’s talk about the show!

The Ritz Music Venue had a packed house and music fans were ready and excited. As the lights dimmed low all of us waited patiently to see the band walk out on stage, but to our surprise we only see Chris Carrabba walk out on stage by himself with only an acoustic guitar in hand. The crowed started screaming when Chris came out alone and right as he started singing the entire venue joined in and sang along with him. After his first acoustic solo song the rest of the band joined him on stage, and he waved hello to the crowd. The band was smiling and looked happy to be there. It seemed like every song the band performed the crowd would join in and sing right along with Chris, it was this amazing chorus of sound radiating throughout the venue. Dashboard Confessional played a great show and you could tell they were having fun sharing a beautiful night of music with everyone there.
