DIRTY HONEY LIVE! | RITZ MUSIC VENUE RALEIGH
We got to cover one of the best performing bands on tour today, the one and only Dirty Honey. The first time we were introduced to Dirty Honey was several years ago during a tour stop with Alter Bridge. During that tour stop they were incredible and left an indelible mark burned into our memories. So, when we heard that Dirty Honey was doing a co-headlining tour with Mammoth we were more than excited to cover this show. Unfortunately, due to a Covid outbreak within their team Mammoth had to back out last minute and cancel the rest of their tour dates with Dirty Honey. Though we were heartbroken to miss out on seeing Wolfgang Van Halens band perform live, Dirty Honey stepped up and hit the stage sooner than expected and put on a great performance. If you are not sure who Dirty Honey is let us get you up to speed. Dirty Honey formed in 2017 and are based out of Los Angeles California. The band consists of lead singer Marc LaBelle, guitarist John Notto, bassist Justin Smolian, and drummer Corey Coverstone. Their first E.P was released in 2019 and their first studio album was release in 2021. Two of our favorite songs is form their 2019 E.P called “Rolling 7’s” and “When I am Gone”. For us those songs really showcased their masterful rock and roll style of writing while showcasing the classic rock vocal style of lead singer Marc LaBelle. If you are a fan of great sounding rock and roll music, then Dirty Honey is a band you need to pay attention too. ~
Now let’s talk about the show!
Let me start off with saying that Dirty Honey never disappoints, and their shows remind us of the good days of rock and roll. Lead singer Marc Labelle put on an outstanding vocal performance and energy to get the crowd going. Each band member never relented in their drive to give every concert goer a show to remember. They sound smooth, clean and clear. Watching them perform live is always fun and seeing them perform some of their great rock songs brings a smile to your face. If you get the chance you don’t want to miss them perform when they are in your town!
