LYLVC LIVE!! | LOCAL 506 CHAPEL HILL
I want to start off with stating that LYLVC brought the house down during their performance at the Local 506 in Chapel Hill. I had such a great time watching them perform and listening to their music. They sounded incredible and were passionately energetic during their entire performance. The band performed at the local 506 which is a small club venue in Chapel Hill as if it the venue was a sold out 20,000 seat arena. The group engaged with their fans while on stage and the vocal performances of both lead singer Alyse Zavala and rapper Oscar Romero were on point and sounded clear and in key. If you are not sure who this band is, the best way I can describe them is if the bands Linkin Park and Evanescence had a child it would be LYLVC. Alyse’s vocals are eloquent and powerful at the same time. I think she is very much on par with Amy Lee in vocal performance. Oscars rapping style and harmony matches perfectly with Alyse vocals and the bands addictive and energized sound. The group as a whole were performing in harmony and they all were enthusiastic to be there which always makes it an incredible concert experience for the fan. Drummer Ryan Powell, Lead Guitarist Seth Morgan, Keyboard/Synth/Guitarist Cam Gillette and Bassist Kenneth Kaval were also incredible with their onstage performances. Keyboardist Cam Gillette at one point stood on this light structure and started singing to the crowd and it was such a cool thing to see. One word I keep going back to is the word “energized”. LYLVC puts on such a head banging, shirt drenching and hard rock performance that you find yourself completely lost in the energy they are permeating out into the world.
To really give you my final thoughts I will just say this. I have been to thousands of shows over my 20 years as a music photographer and I have to say that LYLVC put on a performance that would rival some of the biggest bands in the world. This is a band you need to see live and really follow. I see big things coming for LYLVC in the future and can’t wait to see them continue to grow and take over the world.
