DISTURBED LIVE!! | WALNUT CREEK

On September 6th, 2023, the rescheduled Disturbed show came back to Coastal Credit Union Music Park. The weather finally held up, and they delivered an amazing show! The lineup was completely different from the original, having initially included Jinjer and Breaking Benjamin. But don't fret my friends, because Disturbed brought Wage War with them, and man, did Wage War absolutely crush it! I've seen Wage War a few times, and personally, I'm never disappointed; this time, however, it felt like there was a little extra in their tank, and it was the hardest I've seen them play. I'm 99% sure they gained a lot of new fans that night, doing a solid job of filling Jinjer's and Breaking Benjamin shoes. The song selections for their set were just brutal, keeping with their ability to play just about anything and deliver a fantastic setlist!

And then the moment everyone was waiting for! Disturbed took the stage and kicked it off with "Hey You" from their new album, "Divisive," a great song to start the show with. This would be my first time seeing Disturbed, and as you can imagine, they did not disappoint! They played songs old, new, and everything in between, gracing us with hits like "Stupify", "Ten Thousand Fists", "Down With the Sickness", and "Sound of Silence", a cover that was amazing to hear live. The crowd didn't stop singing as long as the band was playing, and to see parents out with their kids at a metal show like Disturbed is always a treasure witness. Smiles and rocking out endured throughout the entire event, and if fans were anything like me, they were still donning delight and belting songs in their cars on the way home!

It was awesome to see Wage War and Disturbed command the stage and play their hearts out to a packed crowd! If you haven't seen either of these bands perform, tick them off that proverbial bucket list and go see them!
