BAYSIDE LIVE!! | RITZ MUSIC VENUE
f28 got to cover the legendary punk rock band Bayside during their performance at the Ritz Music Venue in Raleigh! Bayside is a punk rock band based out of New York City and were formed in 2000 by lead singer Anthony Raneri. The band has released nine full length albums which includes their first release “Sirens and Condolences” in 2004. They just released their 10-album called “There are Worse Thing Than Being Alive” in 2024. Anyone who listens to punk rock music knows who Bayside is and understands their place in the history of this music genre. A band that is able to keep rocking out and creating music 20+ years later is a band that has left a mark in punk rock.
Now onto the show!
Let me start this off by saying, before the band even came out on stage, the entire venue filled with fans was already bouncing in excitement. When the band first walked out onto the stage you could only hear this loud cheering and only see arms stretching out into the air in excitement, this was even before they hit a guitar note! Once the band started into their first song the place even erupted more than it already was. Fans started singing along, crowd surfing, jumping up and down and going wild. The band sounded great and they had great energy. They performed some of the best-known songs and also a few from their new album. You could see the band was happy to be there and see all of the people who have really enjoyed their music over the years. I don’t know if the venue was sold out but it sure was packed. Each person I looked at in the crowd smiling form ear to ear and singing as loud as they could.
The show was great, the band sounded phenomenal and being able to hear this punk rock legend of a band play some of their best song live was an absolute treat.
Don’t miss out on this tour, especially if you are a punk rock fan!
