This is the second full length studio album from the band “Light the Torch” and it really does make an impression. Howard Jones (Vocals), Francesco Artusato (Guitar) and Ryan Wombacher (Bass Guitar) make up the band and creative force behind there signature sound. Howard Jones vocals really give the band a unique sound and help set them apart from other bands. The creative writing and intricately placed musical compositions give them such a strong and heavy sound.

This record showcases the bands very powerful sound with songs such as “Let Me Fall Apart” which really blends this melodic mixture of vocals, guitar work and haunting harmonies. Other songs on the album like “End of the World”, “Death of Me” and “Come back to the Quicksand” bring this orchestral style sound which underlays the bass heavy rock riffs and blends incredibly well with Howards vocals. Two of my favorite tracks is “Something Deep Inside” and “I hate myself” which really showcase their range and mixture of hardcore metal and beautifully blended compositions. The song called “Denying the sin” really does hit you in all the right places. Such a great track and incredible guitar work, this song is definitely a headbanging staple in the pit.

I am glad to hear the band staying to there roots while also creatively engaging with new ideas and adding unique elements to their songs which will only help the band grow their signature sound. The album does not retreat or relent in anyway and only brings incredibly strong hard metal anthems which the band is becoming well regarded and known for. I am going to leave you with a quote from the lead singer himself which I think really does encapsulate what this album is about.

We wanted to make a fully listenable and fun album that doesn’t let up. At the same time, we’re showing some heart, passion, and connection. It’s what we’ve always intended to do with this band.
