During her time in radio, she was responsible for concert photography, social media management, and organizing/running meet and greets. JAMES BENSON | SENIOR EDITOR | RALEIGH/DURHAM/GREENSBORO/CHAROLETTE/CHAPEL HILL

James started photographing concerts for f28 two years ago. And what two years it's been! James is a member of the Professional Photographers of North Carolina (PPNC) and the Professional Photographers of America (PPA). James went to the University of Mount Olive and graduated with his BA in Photography. James describes himself as obsessed with photography and he always has his camera on him.

James began his concert photography journey by messaging bands on all their social media pages and then, at a Wage War and Gideon concert at the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh, NC, he met Chris and the rest is history. James shoots concerts from Charlotte to Jacksonville. His favorite musicians/bands are Tool, Jinjer, Project 86, Gemini Syndrome, Meshuggah, DevilDriver, & Whitechapel, just to name a few. He does have a very eclectic music taste and enjoys all genres, but hard rock and metal is his go to.

ALLYSON ROMANO | SENIOR WRITER | MUSIC JOURNALIST | ABLUM REVIEWS

Allyson has had a passion for both writing and music from a young age. Much like writing does, photography tells a story rather than simply showing the viewer an image and Allyson has always loved the story F28 has captured in their concert photos. When the opportunity presented itself to merge two of her passions and write album reviews for F28 Music Media Live, she jumped at it! Allyson enjoys being exposed to new music and artists and loves the wide range of music genres F28 Music Media Live covers as she has an eclectic taste in music.

Her favorite artists are Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Old Dominion, John Mayer, Stevie Nicks, and Van Halen to name a few. In addition to music and writing, Allyson loves traveling, beach days, reading, decorating, and capturing fun moments of her life in pictures.

“Music is a feeling, it represents emotion. We don’t just listen to it, we absorb it. To feel the music flow through us is an experience. Every beat and rhythm can touch our soul and stimulate our minds with understanding like nothing else can.”- Allyson Romano
