THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA LIVE!! | RITZ MUSIC VENUE
Coverage by James Benson
On the 7th of November, The Devil Wears Prada brought a heavy hitting, five band line up to the Ritz. First to take the stage was Greyhaven. And wow, they did not hold back. They had tons of energy and personality on the stage. Greyhaven definitely has the makings for more as they continue to perfect and refine their hard-hitting sound connecting with fans through their heartfelt and personal lyrics
Like Moths To FLames took the stage next, and from the very first song to the last song, the energy they brought was insane. They did not stay still the entire time and the mosh pit and crowd surfing was non stop as well. Like Moths To Flames kept the crowd engaged and singing along with their songs.
See You Space Cowboy took the stage after Like Moths To Flames and they kept the energy going. I have never heard of them and was taken by surprise by their set. It was a good mixture of real heavy to catchy, melodic chorus. They definitely kept the crowd's attention.
Silent Planet took the stage and was absolutely amazing. Every song was amazing. They had your attention from the very beginning and left you wanting more when their set ended. Consisting of post-rock and prog-metal parts in their music, Silent Planet has thought provoking lyrics to start a conversation on, often difficult to talk about subjects bringing a focus back on lyrics and messaging within metalcore music. That's what I really appreciated about their music, it got your mind thinking, as you sang along with them. Towards the end of their set, Garrett Russell literally got in the crowd, crowd surfed some while he sang.
And finally, the lights went out, The Devil Wears Prada came on stage. What is there to say about this amazing band that hasn't been said yet? They are legends in their own right and they gave a performance that stated so! They gave the crowd 100%, if not more. This was my first time seeing them live and it was so fantastic. The set list consisted of the hits, some b-sides, and some deep cuts. That haven’t been played in years. If you missed them this go around, you missed an epic show!
This tour was one for the ages, the solid line up and the fans left smiling and satisfied with what they got. If you missed it, you have to catch them again.
