DAYSEEKER LIVE!! | RITZ MUSIC VENUE

Coverage by James Benson

Dayseeker

On the 5th of October, the Ritz was a sold out, packed house to see a killer lineup, with Dayseeker as the headliner. The energy brought from every single band was intense. Kingdom of Giants, Catch Your Breath, Alpha Wolf and Dayseeker absolutely brought it to the crowd and the sold-out Ritz on their Dar Sun Protocol Tour.

Kingdom of Giants started the evening with their high-energy set. They got the mosh pit and crowd surfers going. Kingdom of Giants recently released their latest EP Bleeding Star, which was heavily featured throughout their set. This was my first time hearing of and seeing Kingdom of Giants, and they made it clear that they aren't  just an opening band. They made it seem like they were the headliner. Can't wait to see these guys again!

Next on stage was Catch Your Breath, and what a correct name for a band. They did a great job of being put in between two bands with a heavy sound.Catch Your Breath did a fantastic job keeping the crowd going. The crowd sang along the entire time, while crowd surfers kept coming.

Alpha Wolf, the only band I was familiar with, and they gave the sold out Ritz crowd no time to relax as they took the stage and ended their set heavy. Alpha Wolf's entire set was pure chaos and everyone was all about it. The Ritz security earned their money that evening with the amount of crowd surfers coming across the barriers.

Dayseeker closed the night with a headlining set that was spectacular. I did a quick look up on Dayseeker before I got to the venue and wasn't sure how they fit in with the heaviness, but I was quickly corrected. Their set was actually pretty heavy. Dayseeker mixed their light, but beautiful haunting melodies with a heaviness that needs to be seen live to understand. They had amazing visuals. It wasn't just the band logo looping. It was like each song had a small cinematic story. Their screen wasn’t just a looping band logo. I was definitely surprised and that's in a good way. Day seeker is amazing live!
