The crowd at the Fillmore in Silver Spring was buzzing with energy, glitter, sparkles, and cowboy hats as fans awaited Nessa Barrett. The Aftercare Tour comes two years after Barrett brought her Young Forever tour to DC. Two years ago, I was captivated by the dedication of her fans to camp out all day and I was also extremely captivated by her talent. Well, two years later, her fans still camp out no matter how cold it is, and she still is enchantingly talented.
Nessa’s setlist was full of songs from her new album, and it really showed how much her talent has grown in two years. The stage setup and graphics were simple, and they didn’t need to be anything more because Nessa commanded the stage. Every song she sang was relatable and vulnerable, you could feel the connection between Nessa singing her heart out and fans belting the lyrics alongside her.
If you have the chance to catch the Aftercare tour, I highly recommend getting tickets!
