POD LIVE!! | HOOLIGANS MUSIC VENUE

On the 11th of May, P.O.D. brought the I Got That Tour to Hooligans in Jacksonville, NC. And what a line up for this tour! First to take the stage was a very well-known local band, Waking Tera. They always bring a crowd with them, and with good reason! They got the crowd loosened up and ready to rock. I highly recommend seeing these guys live when they tour. Awesome band and even better people! After they got people ready, Blind Channel from Finland took the stage, and they were awesome to watch. They played hard and kept the crowd engaged. They covered Everybody, by the Backstreet Boys and let me tell you...it was heavy and awesome. The crowd really loved it! Then, heavy hitters Norma Jean took the stage! If you haven't heard of them, you have been under a rock! These guys from the first to last song just kept bringing it to the packed house. They absolutely crushed it on stage! This has been a band I've been dying to see live and I finally got to see them. And they did not disappoint. Almost everyone needed to catch a minute to catch their breath. But no, Next to take the Hooligans stage was Bad Wolves! I know, I know, the show has been fantastic so far, and it only got better. Bad Wolves did the hits and some new songs as well. Now, this was my first time seeing them with new lead vocalist, Daniel "DL" Laskiewics. And they do sound different, but different isn't bad. The crowd was head banging and singing to every word of each song they played. DL even was kind enough to pass water to the crowd from their supply on stage. Bad Wolves somehow took the energy from the crowd and amplified it for the legends themselves, P.O.D.! When the lights went out, the crowd erupted and P.O.D. took the stage! Now, P.O.D. are legends and have been doing this for 20 plus years, but you would never know it from their performance. They give 110% on stage. They played their hits, which are a lot of their songs, to some new songs from their new album, Veritas, which is an awesome album. No surprise there. From the opening song Drop to their last song, Alive, P.O.D. brought it! A really cool scene was when they were about to play Youth of a Nation, they had all the kids come on stage from the crowd. It was a really cool and emotional scene. I couldn't tell you how many times I've seen P.O.D. live, but I have never left saying, man, they could have done more. You leave their shows smiling and looking up when they may be close to you again! You have to see them live when they come to a city near you! I'll bet you a dollar, you will not be disappointed! One whole dollar! They are a must-see live band!
