On September 7th, 2024, Megadeths Destroy All Enemies Tour stopped at the Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek. And you want to talk about line ups for a tour. This may be a top 10 (for me). First to take the stage was All That Remains. Yes...you read that correctly. They came out heavy and left the stage heavy. They brought the energy to the Amphitheater and the crowd responded. Everyone sang to the songs, cheering and just enjoying themselves. They even told the crowd some good news, that they have been working on new music, for the new album coming out soon!
After their amazing set, Mudvayne took the stage next! If you haven't seen Mudvayne live...1) What are you waiting for?! and 2) They are insanely amazing! Mudvayne gave everything on stage to the crowd and the crowd gave what they had to Mudvayne. Everyone was singing along, rocking out, and simply having a great time. Their set was nonstop, action packed. There was no way anybody wasn't smiling. They played like they haven't missed a beat since coming back last year from a long break from touring. I had to remember to take photos and not just rock out with the crowd. Mudvayne doesn't have a bad song and is one of my favorite bands to see live. If you're a little tired, listen to them and you will be pumped up...guaranteed!
Then, if the night couldn't get any better, the moment everyone was waiting for, MEGADETH!!!!!! Now, this was a bucket list concert for me. I have tried MANY times to see Megadeth when they came to the states, but everytime they came through, something happened where I couldn't make it. So, for my first time seeing them happenes to be that I get to photograph the show! I couldn't be any happier that night! Megadeth are legends. They are your favorite bands, favorite band. Megadeth doesn't need any fancy things on stage when they play. The level of talent on that stage is incalculable. And let me tell you, Dave Mustane can still shred! And the crowd was taking it all in while singing every word back and rocking out! There's no way anyone left this show disappointed. All the hits were played along with some new songs. Megadeth still has it and still can put on an amazing show! If you can, catch them on the remainder of this tour, you will not be disappointed at all!
