GARY CLARK JR LIVE!! | REDHAT AMPHITHEATER

On the 13th of June, Red Hat Amphitheater had Gary Clark Jr stop by on his JPEG RAW Tour. The weather was great for an outdoor concert. This was personally, a bucket list concert to catch live. To witness Gary Clark Jr live is to watch a guitar master and wizard. The way he plays the guitars and makes it scream beautifully is just a thing to see. Also, the stage was clean, not a ton going on so all your attention is on him, the band, and the backup singer. All who did an incredible job. At one point, Gary Clark Jr just kinda of paused and took in his surroundings and the crowd, who was either singing or cheering on Gary Clark Jr. He would address the crowd from time to time, and the crowd yelled back with responses to his questions. He played a lot of songs from his new album, JPEG Raw, but also played fan favorites from his other albums. The crowd, and me, was not ready for the evening to end. I could listen to Gary Clark Jr shred 24/7. There aren't too many guitarists these days that can pull emotion from the guitar and his songs quite like Gary Clark Jr can. He is a rare and amazing talent. I feel like he is up there with Prince, B.B. King, and Adam Jones, my three favorite guitarists. And Gary Clark Jr is my 4th favorite. If you can, Gary Clark Jr is a must see live. Also, check out his new album, you will not be disappointed. You will be blown away, just like his live performances.
