Trivium Live! | Ritz Music Venue Raleigh NC

Side Note: Do to the lighting of the show I was unable to get a usable photograph of Drummer Alex Bent and Lead guitarist Corey Beaulieu.

Trivium

Trivium stopped by the Ritz during their tour and gave a great performance that all Trivium fans would love. I have not seen that much crowd surfing at any shows including punks ones that I have been too. Photographing Trivium was a little interested due to the light set up they had but it also gave some great creative ideas to work with. Trivium came on stage with the intent of kicking every fans ass with their blend of metal. I did not see one fan disappointed, all I saw were sweating faces and fits pumping in the air matching every bass drum thud. Lead singer Matt Heafy sounded on point and sang with power and passion. In some cases metal band singers have a hard time hitting certain notes do to the strain it can put on the vocals night after night. Matt had no problem at all and kicked ass with each note and quenching metal growl during their set. The crowd went nuts during their set and the crowd surfing was up to its highest level of the night once Trivium hit the stage. I got hit a few times from flailing body parts coming over the crowd. The Ritz security did a great job at making sure they caught them before they entered the pit but it was a lot of dodging flying body parts. The bands sounded powerful and deep with every note hitting it’s mark. If you are a fan of Trivium you won’t be disappointed.
