Nonpoint — Live in Greensboro, NC
I had the opportunity to photograph Nonpoint during their tour stop in Greensboro, NC, where they opened for P.O.D. at the Cone Denim Entertainment Center. For a long time, subscribers had been asking me to cover Nonpoint, so this show was the perfect chance to finally capture their live performance — and they did not disappoint.
From the moment they stepped on stage, the entire band embraced the crowd with humor, intensity, and nonstop interaction. Lead singer Elias Soriano commanded the room, tearing across the stage with his signature vocal power and lyrical force. B.C. Kochmit (lead guitar, backing vocals) brought both his sharp sense of humor and his explosive playing style, ripping through riffs that filled the venue. Rob Rivera (drums), Rasheed Thomas (rhythm guitar), and Adam Woloszyn (bass) rounded out the lineup, each contributing to one of the strongest performances of the night.
Nonpoint has gone through lineup changes over the years, but they’ve never lost their identity or the loyalty of their fan base. In early 2018, they released their album X, a record packed with heavy guitar work, aggressive vocals, and the kind of raw energy that defines their sound. Tracks like “Dodge Your Destiny,” “Chaos and Earthquakes,” and “Milestone” channel that early ’90s hardcore spirit — abrasive, powerful, and guaranteed to make any metal fan grin.
As a whole, the band delivered a show that blended humor, humility, and pure, unfiltered metal. If you haven’t seen Nonpoint live yet, I highly recommend making the time — or, honestly, just quit your job and go see them. It’s worth it.
