I get the opportunity to cover and photograph two of the most influential hardcore/metal rock bands of the last 20 years. Both of the bands have left and continue to leave a legacy of music that cannot be surpassed by another band. Both Clutch and Sevendust have unique sounds that have been copied by other bands but never replicated. The voice of Neil Fallon (Clutch) and Lajon Witherspoon (Sevendust) are one of a kind in the metal/rock music genre and bring a unique musical sound to the eardrums. I have seen both bands live several times and their shows are energy driven and a lot of fun, so to see both of them on the same bill is a concert you definitely do not want to miss!
Clutch
Clutch is an American rock band from Frederick, Maryland, originating in Germantown, Maryland. Its four members met while in high school in Germantown and consider themselves a Frederick-based band where they write and rehearse for every album and tour. Since its formation in 1991, the band line-up has included Neil Fallon (vocals, rhythm guitar, keyboards), Tim Sult (lead guitar, backing vocals), Dan Maines (bass, backing vocals) and Jean-Paul Gaster (drums and percussion). To date, Clutch has released twelve studio albums, and several rarities and live albums. Since 2008 the band have been signed to their own record label, Weathermaker.

Sevendust
Sevendust is an American heavy metal band from Atlanta, Georgia, formed in 1994 by bassist Vince Hornsby, drummer Morgan Rose and guitarist John Connolly. After their first demo, lead vocalist Lajon Witherspoon and guitarist Clint Lowery joined the group. Following a few name changes, the members settled on the name Sevendust and released their self-titled debut album on April 15, 1997. They have attained success with three consecutive RIAA gold certified albums, a Grammy nomination, and have sold millions of albums worldwide.
Since formation, Sevendust has released 12 studio albums, earning additional chart success and gold sales certifications. They have also re-released their self-titled album as Sevendust: Definitive Edition which contains five new tracks and a DVD.
