Comprised of Nick Wold, Jacob Wick, and Nelson, the sentiments of triumph and tragedy seem to be a constant in DREAMERS' history, and LAUNCH FLY LAND is no exception. Even from before the band's inception, frontman Nick Wold's dream of rock stardom was seemingly impossible as he found and developed his voice while living out of his dingy practice space in Brooklyn. Later that year, DREAMERS' first single “Wolves (You've Got Me)” was in rotation on SiriusXM's Alt Nation, a nearly unprecedented milestone for a new act.
On the heels of success, the band relocated to Los Angeles in 2015 and soon landed a coveted opening slot on Stone Temple Pilots' U.S. tour. Later that year they put out their debut LP This Album Does Not Exist which featured breakthrough songs like “Sweet Disaster." Two years later, after extensive writing and touring (have performed with The 1975, Catfish and the Bottlemen, The Mowglis, Weezer, X Ambassadors & more) the band put out two EPs, LAUNCH and FLY. These releases were intended to be part of a three-part EP series, but they ended up writing so many songs for the final installment of the trilogy that it organically morphed into their second full-length, LAUNCH FLY LAND.
Now that the band is fresh off the GovBall main stage, DREAMERS are gearing up for their summer tour dates with 311 and Dirty Heads, as well as a festival circuit with stops at Lollapalooza, Reading and Leeds.
DREAMERS REVEAL VIDEO FOR “DIE HAPPY”
Ahead of a summer that LA-based band DREAMERS will spend on the road, they share a video for their newest, endlessly hooky single, “Die Happy.” The track (currently at 2.5 million streams and counting) is off their recently released LP LAUNCH FLY LAND.
“I wrote, directed, and edited the video for ‘Die Happy’. It’s a song about being in love in a moment, and I wanted to show this mood just with motion and color like a dance, rather than with a plot. The animations show other planes of reality that are always there, but just hiding behind the surface. It’s like we keep dipping between life and the afterlife, between wakefulness and a dream. At first we we’re going to film a concept more about death but it didn’t feel right. The title of the song mentions death, but it’s really just a poem about living and loving, and that’s ultimately what the video had to be.”

DREAMERS are well-known for bringing everything they’ve got to their live set and they will be touring the UK and North America this summer. The schedule includes Governors Ball on June 1, Lollapaloozaon August 2 and the UK’s Readingand Leedsfestivals August 23 and 24, respectively. Further, they are on the road with 311and Dirty Headsfrom July 2through August 20. All dates are listed below.
From experiencing the arena-rock grandeur of landing a coveted opening slot on Stone Temple Pilots’ 2015 U.S. tour to performing alongside Weezer, The 1975, and Catfish and the Bottlemen (among many others), there have been plenty of highs for the band over the past five years. But there have also been a fair share of crushing lows when it’s come to dissolving relationships and personal struggles — and that duality is present all over LAUNCH FLY LAND. The sentiments of triumph and tragedy on the album, are universal and DREAMERS are happy to have come out on the other side with these songs serving as an affirmation of the experience. “We can’t wait to get out on the road and share these songs with people,” Wold summarizes. “In the end, that’s what this is all about.”
DREAMERS debut album This Album Does Not Exist, was released in 2016 and spawned a national radio hit, the electro-sprinkled pop gem”Sweet Disaster.” Three other songs also charted nationally: the ’90s throwback “Drugs,”the crooning “Wolves (You Got Me),“and the soulful, brisk power-pop of their single “Painkiller.”
