Lauren Daigle started out as a contemporary christian music artist who has reached incredible heights with her music winning Billboard Chart awards, 2 Grammys, American music awards and has had four #1 singles on the Billboard Christian Airplay and Hot Christian songs chart.   She has an incredible voice and a very talented songwriter, but I do want to point out that when I first heard her, I had no idea she was a Christian music artist.  I was not made aware of this until after the fact and that does not make a difference but my point being is that her music transcends religious and music archetypes.  I first heard about her when I came across a song called “Rescue” and it gave me goosebumps.  The passion, the smooth vocal subtleties of hope in her voice and the overall composition of the entire song was very powerful and moving.   After hearing her song “Rescue” I found myself falling into the music search void.  You know, the void where time does not exist, and you find yourself searching YouTube for every song the artist or band has ever made.   That is exactly what happened to me.  I came across songs such as “Everything”, “Love like this”, “You Say” and the list goes on!  Lauren’s creative way of writing mixed with her incredible talent to express particular emotions through her voice immediately captivates you and you find yourself lost in the moment of her song.  Lauren Daigles music really does reach across the aisle of music genres with open arms ready to embrace all people regardless of their religious belief, ethnicity, failures and or successes.  Lauren’s voice carries an endearing and soul generated quality that really does show music can help bring love to the world.

Now let’s talk about her show.
f28 covered Lauren Daigle during her tour stop in Greensboro NC at the Greensboro Coliseum where a little over 12,000+ of her dedicate fans were excited to see her perform.   After I arrived, I picked up my pass and walked up to the front of the stage.  I took my spot in the pit and looked up, right in front of me was this giant stage with blue neon lights bordering each side of the stage.  Shortly after I found my spot the lights went dim and the crowd screamed in excitement.  There was this large curtain covering the main part of the stage but is was slightly see through.  The lights started to come on slowly and you could see Laura walk onto the stage behind the curtain.  There was a pause then it started.  Her voice permeated through the stadium and the fans went nuts.   She started her performance behind the current but then walked out and you could see she was a little overwhelmed with happiness.  After she finished her first song, she ducked her head down behind the microphone as if she was a little shy.  She had a huge smile on her face, and it seemed as if she was just taking in the moment.  She started to say something then it looked like she was overwhelmed with emotion then decided to go into her next song.  It was a very small moment, but it is always great to see an artist take in the moment and appreciate the thousands of fans cheering her on.  It can be a lot to take in I can only imagine.   During her set she was very energetic and would dance around the stage with a smile on her face the entire time.  You could see she was happy to be there.  You could hear music fans singing the lyrics along with her as she would cheer them on to join her.  Her performance was strong, and her vocals were on point and in key.

Lauren Daigle is a singer songwriter that really does have a beautiful voice and brings a much needed sharp edge of hope and love to a dull landscape of a world filled with anger and fear.  You will leave her show feeling happy and energized, I guarantee it.
