Rage Against the Machine is a group that does not need any introduction. Rage has made such a huge impact in music with their one of a kind sound while also bringing social and national issues to music fans around the world. The first time I saw Rage Against the Machine was in 1994 and then again in 1996. When Rage released their debut self titled album “Rage Against the Machine” in 1993 which had the visually devastating photo of a monk burning himself alive protesting the Vietnam war on the cover, you immediately knew this album was going to impact the world. Mixing Zack De La Rocha’s hip hop style vocals with Tom Morello’s uniquely composed guitar riffs created a sound that no one had ever heard before. Rage’s sound is still one of a kind and will never be replicated. Lead Vocals Zach De La Rocha is known for his incredible ability to take important social issues from across the globe and project them to millions of people around the world through his vocals. You can’t forget the incredible contribution and talent of the bands bassist Tim Commerford and drummer Bradley Wilk who helped bring Rage Against the Machines sound to the forefront.

Rage Against the Machine is a band that has and always will continue to have an important place in my heart. Rage is a band that you have to see live to really embrace their incredible energy, music and talent. Out of the three times I have seen them perform live, all three of them are my favorite. Each show is incredible, energized, passion filled and you can’t stop yourself from singing along with Zach while pumping your fist in the air. If you get the once in a lifetime opportunity to see them perform live, I say this with the utmost persuasion, do not miss it. You will have a musical experience you will remember for a lifetime.
