ROB ZOMBIE LIVE!! | PNC CHARLOTTE

On Sunday, July 24th, 2022, it was like going back in time to 1999-2000 with the concert lineup. I mean, Powerman 5000, Static-X (sadly without Wayne), Mudvayne, and the icon himself, Rob Zombie. I felt like a kid again. And let me tell you, the show did not disappoint!

Powerman 5000 took the stage first and they were awesome. The bassist has to be the most photogenic person on stage I've ever photographed. They played all the hits and got the crowd warmed up next...for Static-X.

When Static-X took the stage, I'm not going to lie, it was weird. This was my first time seeing them without Wayne. Kinda hurt, but I was glad to see them continue on and Xer0 (which we all know who it is...lol) did an amazing job. It was great to hear all the songs that I loved back in high school and to jam out to them with a packed out PNC Music Pavilion amphitheater in Charlotte! if you weren't ready for Mudvayne after that, it was on you!

After Static-X left the stage, a huge black curtain was raised. The crowd and your boy here was pumped and ready for Mudvayne!!! Then you hear the iconic beginning to Dig and Chad starts to sing the words. The curtain drops and Mudvayne is in front of you! They gave their all on stage and definitely didn't disappoint. Mudvayne rocked the crowds face off! The setlist was heavy with most songs from L.D. 50, which was not a problem at all, but also monsters like Determined, Dull Boy, and Happy? along with other songs to head bang to. Chad went into the crowd several times. Nobody from NC ripped the other piece of his beard off though! If you haven't heard, look it up. As a guy with a beard...I know that HURT!!!!! It was amazing to see them live after all these years! Hopefully, we don't have to wait too long for a new album....cough cough, wink wink Mudvayne!

Then, what we all waited for...the legend, the icon, ROB ZOMBIE took the stage!!!! Rob Zombie did not stay in one place at all! Running and head banging all across the stage. Except for about half of the first song, he was on a huge platform. It was hard to just put the camera down for a second and just watch the band perform hit after hit! Rob Zombie didn't stop much after each song. It was an absolute killer setlist top to bottom! The crowd was nuts the entire time! And let me get this off my chest...John 5 is one of the most underrated guitarists of all time! He crushed it! If Rob Zombie didn't melt your face off, the John 5 was right there to finish you off!

The Freaks on Parade Tour is an absolute must go if you can! You will not be disappointed! I left the show rocking out in the car and smiling on my 3 1/2 drive home from covering the show, and I'd do it all over again! YOU HAVE TO GO SEE THIS TOUR!!!!!
