FOXING LIVE!! | NEW YORK

Foxing performed at Manhattan's Le Poisson Rouge on Saturday, July 16th, as part of their Draw Down The Moon tour across North America. The show was opened up by Home Is Where and Greet Death, who did an incredible job hyping the crowd up for the headliner. The band Home Is Where in particular brought energy levels up, the crowd quickly morphing into a sweaty and intense mosh pit. They performed with a stuffed Mickey Mouse crucified on a small wooden cross, which juxtaposed quite hilariously when the lead singer of Foxing, Conor, later walked out for his own set in a bright pink Disney World spirit jersey. Foxing kicked off their set with "737", the first track off their most recently album, which starts out acoustic with vulnerable lyrics and vocals, then in the bridge explodes into a catharsis of intense yelling and all out instrumentals - the perfect first song to give the audience a taste of what to expect for the next hour or so. The continued in order, following with the second and third tracks off that album, before settling into a chunk of older hits for the next 4 songs. The band's engagement with the crowd was stellar, and the crowd itself was one to be reckoned with- with tons of moshing, scream-singing along, and, admittedly, no shortage of B.O. - New York has been in a heat wave for most of July, and as temperatures have risen, so has the stench of pits at shows - all worth it though to be a part of that moment. Conor even stated multiple times throughout the night that it was the best show the band ever played in the city. The finished off their set with their beloved songs "Nearer My God" and "Speak With The Dead", and an encore of "Rory". Foxing hails from St. Louis, Missouri, and have released 4 albums since their debut The Albatross in 2013. They've been on a headlining tour across the U.S. in celebration of their most recent album Draw Down The Moon, and will continue to tour through August.
