August Burns Red hit the stage at the Ritz Music Venue in Raleigh to a packed house with everyone ready to celebrate their 20th anniversary tour. To even make this tour better then did not come alone, they brought their friends TDWP (The Devil Wears Prada) and Scotland’s very own Bleed from Within. The show was opened by Bleed from Within and they hit the stage with a bang. As lead singer Scott Kennedy hit the stage the crowd went wild and the mosh pit started its rotation. The band sounded strong, heavy and each member of the band was energetic and moving all around the stage for their entire set. The band would talk to the fans in-between songs thanking them for their support. Towards the end of their set lead singer Scott Kennedy jumped into the crowd and started singing with the fans while they held him up almost crowd surfing him while he performed. The fans loved it!! See pictures below.
After Bleed from Within got the crowded riled up and prepped, TDWP (The devil wears Prada) hit the stage to only level up the energy in the venue. Lead singer Mike Hranica brought his “A” game while energizing the entire venue with his heavy vocals and erratic movements. Mike moved all around the stage and at times, he was moving so fast we would not realize he already moved to another part of the stage! The band sounded great and the mosh pit only got bigger once they hit the stage. Everyone in the band kept the energy high while encouraging the crowd to sing along and jump up and down to the music. TWDP did not disappointment and their Raleigh NC performance only continued to cement the bands high energy and heart pounding legacy.

We have had the pleasure of covering them 3 times over the course of a few years and each show gets better form the last one. The band brings a full-on barrage of energy and excitement to the stage that is undeniably palpable to everyone music fan in the venue their playing. Lead singer Jake Luhrs makes sure to be front and center and engage the crowed with his gut-wrenching vocals while also encouraging everyone to sing along. Every band member on that stage is all in and never lets up. They show their fans they want to be there, and they are happy to be there. While the band performed the mosh pit got even bigger as more and more fans joined in on the fun. August Burns Red sounded incredible and always bring an intensely energetic performance to any venue they play at. Congratulations to the band for celebrating an incredible 20 years of music.
