CITY AND COLOUR LIVE!! | RITZ MUSIC VENUE

On the 19th of September, The Ritz welcomed City and Colour with Jaye Jayle supporting. And wow...what a show!  Now, what I typically do if I’m not familiar with an artist I'm covering is go to the show without listening to a single song of the artist so there's no expectation. That was the case in this scenario, and wow, I can now add two more bands to the list of amazing live music!

Jaye Jayle was first to take the stage. They have a very unique and killer sound. Dare I say, a “Goth Blues,”  type of feel. And I'm here for it! They played a fantastic set, and the packed house grooved along with the band. Jaye Jayle is a band that not only has passion on the stage, but you can feel the passion in the music and lyrics. Each song was a small story, and it captivated you from the start. Jaye Jayle didn't disappoint and did a great job getting the fans ready for the headliner of the night.

When City and Colour took the stage, the crowd got loud! It was a packed venue, and everyone was excited for them to start playing. Let me get this out the way: Dallas Green can sing! I was honestly not expecting that kind of "soul" to come out. Apparently, I was the only one in the packed house taken back…the crowd sang every word along with City and Colour, and smiles were abundant. City and Colour’s setlist was fantastic. A mix of old, new, and a bunch of fan favorites. Everyone left happy. There's no way you left disappointed.
Jaye Jayle and City and Colour were absolutely fantastic. If you haven't seen or heard their music, I HIGHLY recommend checking them out, and especially for a live show. Also, if I may recommend, go see bands you dont know of live! You may just come out of it with new bands to listen to and who you wouldn’t miss seeing live again! Trust me, there are so many bands, big and small, out there you have never heard of that are FANTASTIC!
