GOOD KID LIVE!! | CATS CRADLE
Coverage by Chris Sturk
The Good Kid show was easily one of the best concerts we covered this year. The venue was absolutely packed and you could feel the excitement bouncing off the walls.
What struck me most was the camaraderie onstage. Every band member came out firing at 100%, but it wasn’t just the energy — it was the genuine joy they had playing together. You could see the friendship, the inside jokes, the love they have for the music they create. At one point, someone botched the intro to a song, and instead of frustration or awkwardness, the whole band just burst into laughter. They teased each other, reset, and dove right back in. It was such a human, charming moment that made the crowd love them even more.

The entire show had that same spirit — fun, humor, and a real connection with the fans. The band fed off the crowd, and the crowd fed it right back. Every song turned into a sing‑along, and the band made sure everyone in the room felt like part of the experience.
This was my first time covering Good Kid, and they instantly jumped to the top of my list for the year. I even met a young girl and her mom who had driven all the way from Virginia just to see their favorite band live. That kind of dedication says everything you need to know about the impact this band has.
What a night. What a show. If Good Kid comes through your city, don’t miss them. It’s pure fun, great music, and an atmosphere that reminds you why live shows matter.
