GOOD KID LIVE!! | CATS CRADLE

Coverage by Chris Sturk

The Good Kid show was easily one of the standout concerts we covered this year. The venue was packed wall‑to‑wall, and the excitement in the room was almost physical — you could feel it bouncing off the walls before the band even stepped onstage.

What impressed me most was the camaraderie between the band members. Every musician came out firing at full energy, but it wasn’t just the performance — it was the genuine joy they had playing together. Their friendship was obvious in every glance, every joke, every shared moment. At one point, someone botched the intro to a song, and instead of frustration, the entire band burst into laughter. They teased each other, reset, and jumped right back in. It was a small, human moment that made the crowd love them even more.

That spirit carried through the entire night: fun, humor, and a real connection with the fans. The band fed off the crowd, and the crowd gave it right back. Every song became a sing‑along, and Good Kid made sure everyone in the room felt like part of the experience.

This was my first time covering Good Kid, and they immediately shot to the top of my list for the year. I even met a young girl and her mom who had driven all the way from Virginia just to see their favorite band live. That kind of dedication says everything about the impact this group has.

What a night. What a show. If Good Kid comes through your city, don’t miss them. It’s pure fun, great music, and a reminder of why live shows matter.
