PINK LIVE!! | LENOVO CENTER
Coverage by Chris Sturk
We covered PINK during her tour stop at the Lenovo Center in Raleigh NC and it was a very aerobatic experience. PINK who has become one of the most icon pop stars of her generation has been making music for 25+ years with huge hits such as, “Raise your glass”, “what about us”, “try”, “please don’t leave me”, “one last kiss”, “sober”, “getting the party started” and many more. PINK has sold 60 million records over the course of her incredible career and will continue to sell more as she still writes and produces new music. PINK is now at the level of musical icon as her name and images known around the world.
PINK put on a great show at the Lenovo Center on 11/11/24 to a sold-out crowd of screaming and excited fans. The show started off with the lights going out and the stage lighting up! There were two large screens on each side of the stage which showed pink talking to the crowd hyping them up. After the screens turned off the music started you could see up above the stage was a large mouth and it opened to reveal PINK. She was attached to a harness with bungees and she waved to the crowd before free falling upside down towards the stage. The bungees she was attached to caught her and she shot back up just as fast as she had fallen into the air while performing various poses and singing. The crowd went crazy when this happened. After she did several spins and various other tricks she was lowered down to the stage where the harness was taken off of her and she walked around the stage waving to everyone.
PINK sounded great, and you could tell she was performing live because her dancers would make her laugh during certain parts of a song and it brought a realism to the performance. PINK was smiling the entire show and was really happy to be there. She would make goofy faces while performing certain parts of a song and would point at little kids being held up by their parents. She danced, performed aerobatic maneuvers and really seemed happy to be in Raleigh. The entire arena of fans would sing along with all the songs and even at some points PINK would stop singing and let the crowd take over.
This was my first time experiencing the energy of PINKS performance and she really does permeate this happy and enjoyable energy into the crowd when she performs. I heard a lot about PINK in concert from friends of mine and also other articles online, and I can say without a doubt, her show is definitely something you have to experience for yourself. She puts on a great performance filled with fun and non-stop energy. I had a great time covering her performance.
