SEVEN KINGDOMS LIVE!! | HANGAR 1819

Coverage by Daphne McKinney

Seven Kingdoms is a power metal band out of DeLand, FL. The band just wrapped up their “Shredding North America” 2024 Tour. The tour, which began on November 9th in Corpus Christi, TX ran through December 8th in Orlando, FL.

I was pretty excited to catch their recent tour stop in Greensboro, NC on December 5th. The tour hit up Hangar 1819, which is a small venue that holds really great shows, and this night was no exception. Fans packed into the venue and even though it was chilly outside, they warmed up quick for this full metal show!

Undrask would get the show started that night and these guys had no problems pumping up this crowd. Undrask is a melodic metal band from right here in Greensboro, NC. The band released their most recent album God Emperor in 2023 but said they hadn’t actually played live in 5 years!! It was quite a surprise to hear this because the band was absolutely on fire. The highlight of their set was definitely during “Longhammer” when the lead vocalist carried his gigantic hammer/microphone through the crowd letting everyone pass it around. It was loads of fun for everyone.

Lutharo hit the stage next, and I really saw an even mix of Lutharo and Seven Kingdoms merch worn on fans in the crowd. These 2 bands were actually a perfect line-up for this tour and the fans loved every second of it. While Lutharo may have had a shorter set for the night, they packed it full of awesome tunes. The band included 3 tracks off their latest release, Chasing Euphoria.

When they set up the stage for Seven Kingdoms I could kind of feel the excitement in the crowd. The drum set was lined with plush burgers in anticipation of the Burger Queen’s arrival. The band dove straight into their first track “After The Fall” which appears on 2012’s The Fire is Mine. While Seven Kingdoms played a full set, that was actually one of the only older songs they played. They mostly filled their 10-song set with tracks from their most recent releases including The Square EP. The show of course wouldn’t be complete without the Burger Queen herself putting on her burger crown for the crowd.

This was a great show beginning to end.
