Pom Pom Squad brought their energetic The Mirror Ball tour to Carrboro, NC on April 1st. The Brooklyn, NY band is lead by Mia Berrin who showcased her incredible talent to a packed room of excited fans. Each stop on the tour was grouped into one of four themes which fans were encouraged to model their outfits after. The Carrboro stop was the third to last stop on the tour and the last show in the “Earth Angel” theme. Many attendees wore flowy white dresses and tops and some even wore wings and halos.
The band started the night off strong with “Downhill”, the lead single from their latest album Mirror Starts Moving Without Me which was released in October of 2024. The show continued with many other songs off the latest release as well as older fan favorites such as “Drunk Voicemail”. The show was captivating and the audience danced along while Berrin spun around the stage with her silver pom poms. Berrin even brought her mom out for a guest appearance for the intro to “Street Fighter”. Pom Pom Squad’s grunge-pop style combined with Berrin’s range and talent results in a fantastic concert experience and a promise of even more great music in the future.
