XAMBASSADORS LIVE!! | RITZ
Coverage by Larissa Blankenship
X Ambassadors brought their high energy VHS(X) tour to The Ritz in Raleigh, NC on September 26th. The tour is a 10th anniversary celebration of the band’s debut album VHS(X), which includes two of the group's top hits “Unsteady” and “Renegades”. The band originates from Ithaca, NY and is made up of brothers Sam and Casey Harris, lead singer and keyboardist respectively, Adam Levin, percussionist, and Russ Flynn, guitarist.
The fans matched the band member’s electric energy as they started off the show with “Jungle”, an upbeat song which had everyone singing along. All the band members brought incredible energy to the stage with Sam Harris in particular jumping in time with the music and interacting with the crowd as he sang. He also showed off his other musical talents by bringing out a saxophone for multiple solos throughout the night.
September 26th was also a very special day for the band as it was Sam Harris’s 37th birthday. The crowd loudly sang “Happy Birthday” to the singer who afterward expressed his thanks and appreciation for the support of their fans. The show continued and the band performed almost all of the songs off of VHS(X), closing out the night with a two song encore. The band will finish out the tour with one more stop in Atlanta. However, an X Ambassadors concert is not a show you want to miss so make sure to catch them next time they are on the road!
