5 Seconds of Summer made everyone a star on Friday August 28th at their second to last show at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California. Throughout the night, 5SOS took ~14,000 fans on a journey throughout their 15 years of being a band. The show was structured into 6 different acts that told a story using humor and the band’s own personal lore. A fun touch to the show was allowing fans to vote on the night’s secret song. The crowd chose to throw it back to 2014 and have the band play “Try Hard”, which was a perfect pick as it kicked off the act titled “The Beginning” where the band played hits from their early years. Throughout the night, the crowd was always loud and enthusiastic, but during the throwback songs, the crowd was absolutely electrifying.
I have been a fan of 5 Seconds of Summer since they were an opener for One Direction back in 2013 and the show felt nostalgic and fulfilling. I would always recommend going to see a 5 Seconds of Summer show!
