The seven-track project is highlighted by focus track “Forever Eyes” and features previously released singles “unlearning you,” “care,” and “VOTED OUT.” Across the EP, Crying City continues to expand her signature sound, pairing intimate songwriting and evocative vocals with cinematic production and undeniable alt-pop hooks.
HOW’D I EVEN HIDE IT follows a breakout run for Crying City, whose fan-favorite tracks “Urn” and “Lucky” have amassed more than 17 million and 14 million global streams, respectively. She has also continued to build momentum on the road, supporting Fiji Blue and, most recently, Bryant Barnes across 10 U.S. cities earlier this year.

ABOUT CRYING CITY:
Emotions never sleep. Crying City soundtracks those moments after midnight when all of your feelings come to light at once. Merging lo-fi D.I.Y. beat-craft, gritty instrumentation, arresting hooks, and evocative vocals, the songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer transfixes with equally catchy and cinematic anthems. Born in South Korea, she moved to Indiana at three years old before spending the majority of her childhood in Phoenix, AZ. Each summer, she visited family in Korea, maintaining a close connection to her heritage. She began playing piano at seven and later picked up violin in high school. While studying neurobiology at UC Berkeley, she expanded her musical palette and began writing songs of her own, sharing snippets on TikTok. After generating millions of streams independently with songs including “Nervous,” “Buy My Lies,” and “Better (with you),” Crying City broke through globally with “Urn.” The song exploded on TikTok in Southeast Asia and helped lead to her signing with Soka Records/Mercury Records. Since then, she has continued to build a living, breathing, and ever-evolving sonic world, amassing tens of millions of streams and connecting with audiences both online and on the road.
