Adelitas Way is an independent rock band that formed in 2006 and is based out of Las Vegas Nevada. They have recorded five full length studio albums and are currently working on a sixth. The band's debut single "Invincible", brought the band to the forefront of mainstream rock with the song being used for television shows and commercials. The band found more success when touring with major rock acts such as Shinedown, Creed, Papa Roach, Godsmack, Theory of a Deadman, Seether, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Deftones, Puddle of Mudd, Sick Puppies, Staind, Alter Bridge, Skillet and many more. The band has built a cult following with passionate lyrics and heavy guitar riffs that suck you into each song. You will see information for their tour dates, tickets, merch and albums in the link at the bottom of the article.

The show:
I got the chance to cover what I consider one of the great rock bands of the last 10 years. The band has created songs that to many fans have helped them through difficult times as well as uplifting them with hope and compassion. Singer Rick Anthony DeJesus vocal style and lyrics are perfect for the bands blend of rock and nu metal sound. Rick is also noted as one of the nicest guys to music fans with his unbelievable generosity with his time. He will do his best to meet every fan. I saw this first hand at the show I covered in Greensboro. After the show was over and the band was packing up their gear and there were about 60 fans waiting to talk with Rick. He came out from back stage and took pictures, listened to the fans stories and really engaged with the fan. I waited until 1 am in hopes to talk with him briefly but my old ass had a two hour drive home so I unfortunately did not get the chance to talk with him. I did get the chance to talk with bassist Andrew Cushing. Andrew was very nice and talked briefly about the tour and was very kind.

So lets now get into the show itself. The lights went dim and you saw the band walked on to the stage. The first beats and guitar riffs started to blare as Rick came out on to the stage last. The entire band looked happy and excited to be there and playing for their loyal fan base. You saw fans of all ages cheering the band on and singing with them during each song. Rick would point out to the crowd and then the fans would sing back the next lyric to the song. At one point Rick got a young fan to come up on stage and watch them play live from the stage during a song. Each band member went over to the young fan and gave him a fist bump, that young fan definitely had excitement in his eyes. The band was strong with everything sounding in key. The only thing was occasionally you could not hear Ricks vocals and I put that on the venue not the band. The Bling Tiger has been known to commonly have audio issues during bands stage time. Rick was very engaging with fans and was smiles the entire night. There was one fan that definitely brought his dancing shoes. He was moving around the entire floor with this energy that only Adelitas Way could bring out of him.

The band played some of their biggest hits and drummer Tre kicked so much ass on the drums I was waiting for him to pass out. His energy was non stop and he hit each snare beat with precise strikes and the symbols with unwavering power. He was amazing and really great to watch during the show. It was great to see each band member showing their love to the fans while putting on a great performance for them. They are currently on tour and they are a must see. If you are a fan of them or just wanting to check them out don’t miss this opportunity. Adelitas Way is one of the best rock bands out their today and they deserve to be heard and I look forward to hearing new music form them soon.
