We covered one of the most iconic rock/punk bands of the past 20 years, the one and only Sum 41. They are currently on tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut album called “All Killer no Filler” which was released in 2001. The album was certified platinum and helped bring the band to the masses. Their biggest single from the album was a song called “Fat Lip” which reached number #1 on the Billboard Rock Charts. I had a few songs that I loved including “Nothing on my back”, “Motivation”, “In to Deep”, “Summer” “Handle This” and “Fat Lip” but to be honest the entire album is great! In celebration of this incredible milestone and the incredible impact this album has had in the world of music, Sum 41 is performing the “All Killer No Filler” album in its entirety. When we saw them perform, they played the album out of order, so you won’t hear each song in the direct order that’s listed on the album, but you do get to hear every song. Such a great album and it is awesome to see it performed live.

Now let’s get to the show!

The band came out on to the stage energized and ready to go. Lead singer Deryck Whibley was in full on rock and roll mode and engaged the crowd through the entire set. Bassist Jason McCaslin, lead guitarist David Baksh and rhythm guitarist Thomas Thacker moved around the stage encouraging the crowd to sing along with them. Frank Zummo was kicking ass on the drums; he would stand up during some of the songs and point to the crowd then sit back down and continue his masterful drum riffs. The crowd would ignite and start moshing while crowd surfing. People were screaming their hearts out singing along with each song, some music fans even brought their actual copy of this legendary album. They would raise their copies of the “All Killer No Filer” record or album in the air while singing along to each song. Everyone was just having a blast and you could see how much fun the band was having as well. It was a great experience to see Sum 41 live and kicking as son stage again since the pandemic. This is a tour you don’t want to miss!
