AWOLNATION LIVE!! | REDHAT AMPHITHEATER
Coverage by Chris Sturk
We covered AWOLNATION during their tour stop in Raleigh at the famed Redhat Amphitheater and they put on such a great performance. The group is best known for their song called “Sail” from their Megalithic Symphony record released in 2010 and is still to this day one of my favorite songs of that decade. The group was founded by Aaron Richard Bruno who is still creating music though Aaron is the last remaining original member of the group. AWOLNATION has put out several albums over the years including their most recent release called “The Phantom Five” which is scheduled for release on August 30th of this year. I am excited to see them continue to tour and write music.
The groups performance was really good and Aaron was energized and moved around the stage engaging with fans during the performance. Each member was energetic, and the fans were loving every bit of it. The group had various tube style lighting setups that would turn on during certain parts of songs and flash off and on as they performed. I was happy to see them performing and it was great to hear Aaron sing some of his most icon songs. I will say this, once he started the song “Sail” the crowd went nuts. It is a great song, and I look forward to hearing more music coming from the group in the future.
