BLACK VEIL BRIDES LIVE! | RITZ MUSIC VENUE

We covered Black Veil Brides during their tour stop at the Ritz Music Venue in Raleigh and it was one of the top shows of the year. The band formed in 2006 and has grown to be one of the most influential and important rock bands in the world. With incredible songs like “Fallen Angels”, “In the End”, “Coffin” and one of my favorite songs called “Born Again” as well of their most recent song called “Bleeders”, the band has proved time and time again that they are great writers and make music that resonates with so many people. The band’s music has spread across the world infecting the eardrums of millions of music fans and rightly so it should. They have always developed and modified their writing style over the past almost 20 years of creating music. With an incredible 2.1 million YouTube subscribers and a mind blowing 1.6 million Instagram followers only proves that they are one of the most loved bands of their genre. When I went to cover their performance, it was the first time I had ever seen them perform live and was very interested to see what kind of show they put on.

The band hit the stage around 9:45PM to a crowd of excited fans who were wanting to sing along with each song the bands lead singer Andy Biersack was singing and sing along they did. They entire band was energized from the moment they hit the stage. The stage had a theme which highlighted the fictional Sweeny Todd killings, and each band member wore pale white makeup on their faces to invoke the feeling of them being corpses as well as having fake knife slices across their throats with painted blood dripping down. The band did a really good job at creating an interesting backdrop for their performance and the band also had these really bright lights at the front of the stage that would change color throughout their performance. The band sounded great and moved around the stage while also standing on this large platform throughout the night pointing out to the crowd during certain parts of their performance. This was my first experience covering Black Veil Brides and I was not disappointed. The band as a whole sounded great, they were very energetic, and the fans were having a blast. Make sure you put Black Veil Brides in your concert season calendar for bands to check out in 2024! You won’t want to miss it.
