THE AMITY AFFLICTION LIVE!! | RITZ VENUE
Coverage by Daphne McKinney

The Amity Affliction is a post-hardcore band out of Australia. You can currently catch them on their 2025 North American headline tour. The tour originally kicked off on February 28, 2025 and will continue through March 26, 2025. The band has brought with them a great lineup that is bursting with talented bands that have easily been able to pump up the crowds for them night after night. When I got to check them out recently at the Ritz in Raleigh, NC fans were pouring in early just to catch the openers, and they were absolutely in for a treat.
Kicking off the show was UNWELL. UNWELL is a pop punk band out of Detroit, they easily had fans jumping up and down throughout their set.
Next up on the line-up was Many Eyes. While this is officially a newer band who only released their debut in late 2024, Many Eyes features vocalist Keith Buckley (ex-Every Time I Die).
Hail The Sun were the next band to jump on stage. Vocalist, Donovan Melero commands the stage and launches the band into one hard-hitting song after another.
After only a short break, The Amity Affliction charged onto the stage. The band immediately dove straight into “Pittsburgh” off of 2014’s Let The Ocean Take Me. The band played an enormous set, which did include some tracks off of about every album to date. But they included a lot of tracks from Let The Ocean Take Me. Which the fans didn’t mind, and in fact, I didn’t mind as this was a killer album. The Amity Affliction continues to put on full high-energy sets. The band sounds great, they put every ounce of energy into every show and the fans reciprocate by sending their energy back. This crowd was singing along and crowd surfing through this entire set. The energy never stopped.
