BOYS LIKE GIRLS LIVE!! | RITZ

Coverage by Chris Sturk

Boys Like Girls returned to The Ritz in Raleigh, NC to a completely packed house, and they showed up ready to have some fun. From the moment the lights dropped, the crowd erupted — hands reaching out toward the stage, fans hoping for a quick touch or even just a moment of connection with the band they grew up with.

The setlist hit hard right out of the gate, but one of the biggest highlights of the night was “Two Is Better Than One.” The entire venue sang every word, holding up two fingers in unison as the chorus rang out. It was one of those rare moments where the crowd becomes part of the performance, and you could feel the nostalgia and emotion filling the room.

Supporting acts iDKHOW and Arrows in Action did exactly what great openers should do — they warmed up the crowd, built the energy, and set the tone for the headliner. By the time Boys Like Girls hit the stage, the room was buzzing.

The band came out in their signature look of the last few years: leather, boots, and sparkles. Each member moved across the stage with confidence, stepping up onto small riser platforms to get even closer to the fans. This was my second time seeing them at The Ritz, the last being a few years back, and it’s clear the band is experiencing a resurgence as the pop‑punk era continues to make a comeback.

What really stands out with Boys Like Girls is the palpable energy they bring to every performance. They’re not just playing songs — they’re reliving memories with the fans who grew up on their music. If you’re a longtime fan, you don’t want to miss this tour. And if you’re someone who loves great songs that transport you back to the pop‑punk days of your youth, their show is absolutely worth checking out.

All good things come from seeing Boys Like Girls live.
