DROPKICK MURPHYS LIVE!! | RITZ
Coverage by Chris Sturk
Dropkick Murphys performed at the Ritz Music Venue in Raleigh to a sold‑out crowd. Boston’s very own took Raleigh by the arm and dove straight into the chaos, delivering the kind of high‑energy, Celtic‑infused punk rock they’re known for. As one of the best touring bands in the U.S., they brought relentless power to every song, with each band member fully engaged with the fans from start to finish.
The crowd matched their intensity—every lyric was shouted back at the stage, and the atmosphere was electric. This wasn’t the band’s first time in Raleigh; two of their recent stops here, including their show at Red Hat Amphitheater, also sold out.
Being from Boston myself, I grew up listening to Dropkick Murphys. I missed the chance to see them during my senior year of high school, so finally getting to watch them tear up the stage years later—with that unmistakable, addictive sound—was an unforgettable moment for everyone in the room.
Dropkick Murphys are also known for standing firmly by their morals and have never shied away from voicing their views on any subject. This unwavering authenticity is a major reason the band means so much to so many people. Beyond their music, they actively support numerous charities and consistently use their platform to advocate for people who have been overlooked or ignored.
They’re a band that never relents—one that’s always ready to jump into the pit with their fans. Their commitment to community, justice, and staying true to who they are is as much a part of their identity as their music.
Don’t miss their tour, you will have an incredible time.
