NOTHING MORE LIVE!! | RITZ
Coverage by Chris Sturk
Nothing More unleashed a powerhouse performance at The Ritz in Raleigh, taking the stage before a completely sold‑out crowd packed wall‑to‑wall with eager fans. The moment the lights dropped, the venue erupted—an electric atmosphere that set the tone for the entire night. The band wasted no time diving into their set with the intensity and precision they’re known for, immediately pulling the audience into their high‑octane world.
Frontman Johnny Hawkins delivered a commanding performance, showcasing not only his vocal range but also his unmistakable presence. His energy radiated through the room as he moved across the stage, locking eyes with fans, reaching out to the crowd, and making sure every person felt connected to the moment. His passion was contagious, fueling the audience and amplifying the already charged environment. The entire band was putting their best foot forward making sure to give their dedicated fans what they came for.
With thunderous instrumentation, dynamic visuals which included an incredible light show that filled the stage, and a crowd that matched the band’s energy at every turn, Nothing More transformed The Ritz into a full‑scale rock experience. The synergy between the band and the fans made the night feel unforgettable—one of those shows that lingers long after the final note fades.
We’ve had the opportunity to watch this band grow steadily over the years, getting bigger and more impressive with every tour. I remember covering them years ago in a small club with maybe 300 people packed inside. To see them now—selling out The Ritz with more than 2,000 fans and sharing stages at the Lenovo Center with major rock acts like Disturbed—is nothing short of incredible. Their rise has been exciting to witness, and it’s clear they’re only continuing to climb. Their music is passionate and influential, and their live performances are something no rock fan who sees them will ever forget.
