We at f28 have covered thousands of up-and-coming bands and we compiled a few bands and artists we think you should check out! We know that there are thousands of incredible musicians out there and we can’t name them all but here are a few we really liked and think you should check them out!

Jack the Radio:

We had the opportunity to meet this indie band and see them perform live. The band is based out of Raleigh NC. We saw they perform at the Kings music venue in Raleigh, and they put on a great show. They were a mixture of rock and roll, new wave blues and country music but it was all seamlessly blended together. The band was generous with their time, kind and really fun to be around. We definitely think this is a band you should keep on your radar. Band members include George Hage (Vocals, Guitar), Danny Johnson (Guitar, Keyboard, Lap Steel, Vocals), Dan Grinder (Bass) and Kevin Rader (Drums, Vocals)

The One Eighties:

This incredibly talented duo are two people you want to keep an eye on. They recently released their debut album called “Minefields”, and we had the chance to meet them and talk with them both. The music they create is beautiful composed and a real joy to see performed live. The duo consists of the talented Autumn Brand and Daniel Cook who each bring a unique blend of creative writing to their musical compositions.

RIPE:

This band is a band that you can’t really express in words. They put on such a fun performance that it is always a party when you see them live. We have had the opportunity to see them several times over the years and it was always a great time. The band is a group of incredibly talent musicians that blend pop rock, reggae, dance and rock music all together and do it in perfect harmony. They are only getting bigger and bigger and will be on tour with O.A.R I believe in the coming year. Don’t miss this band!

KIMBRA:

Kimbra is a singer songwriter based out of New Zealand and blends a mixture of pop, jazz and rock into her musical compositions. We got to see her perform at the Cats Cradle and she put on a unique and enchanting show. Her vocals are engaging, and she has a unique stage presence. She is an artist we really enjoyed seeing live and think you may like her to!

LYLVC

This and is on its way to blazing a path of success. We covered their performance in Raleigh, and it was a powerhouse of a performance. Each band member is 100% engaged with the crowd and they passionately sing and perform their hearts out on stage. The show is exciting, the music is great, and they really are paving their way to becoming one of the best bands of 2023. They are currently on tour so make sure you don’t miss them; you won’t regret it.
